Ayaan and Niall Tie the Knot

Says Andrew Sullivan...
One of my oldest friends married one of my global heroines on Saturday. The irascible Scot wed the unafraid Somali to the Battle Hymn of the Republic (and a little Gershwin thrown in) in Harvard Memorial Church. For me, this is America: a refugee from brutal Islamist repression and an intellectual seeking new forums and new audiences to share his work. They came here because this is America, a place that makes an East African and a Glaswegian feel equally at home more

MANY HEARTY CONGRATS TO THE HAPPY COUPLE!

OOOOOO I remember this young lady, you had her a couple posts ago with some very controversial comments about her unborn OOW child. Well life really is funny cause now they're getting married. I guess the baby is not going to be OOW anymore since he put a ring on it before birth.
Best wishes to her!

No offense, I must admit as an American the Salman Rushdie type of people coming to America help to make Americans in general a target for those types of people they are trying to elude. Stop bringing those issues to America.
I feel we are being put in harms way. Who is paying for their protection? America has more than enough problems. No offense intended but, I had to voice my opinion. On the other hand, congratulations on the marriage and baby.

Anonymous you are obviously an idiot. Did the 911 bombers or would-be time square bomber come on the behest of either Niall or Ayaan?

Keep trying to be a pacifist to those who know what to do with useful iditots when the time comes.

As for paying for security, lol @anonymous thinking they are smart trying to make it an issue of saving us all money. Guess what? defending freedom of speech is worth it!

I'm glad this couple got married. Niall showed his commitment to Ayaan and their baby by marrying her. This speaks well of his character (ultimately, since the relationship began as an illicit affair). His action gave the mother of his child dignity instead of controversy and society now sanctions their union. He also demonstrated how much he loves this one woman and is invested in their future.

As I stated in your post a month ago, Niall respect Ayaan wishes hence the lovely marry couple. In my opinion Ayaan knew how to choose who will be the father of her child and I wish the happy family well.

Oh wow, this is awesome! And they got married BEFORE the baby arrived. I remember at one time Ayaan did an interview where she said she wasn't sure she even wanted to get married but she knew she wanted children. I think the "not wanting to get married" bit had a lot do with her converting to atheism from Islam and so she wasn't sure how she felt about marriage from a non-religious viewpoint. Well now we know, Ayaan(and Niall) believe in love and marriage before the baby carriage. I wish them both the best!

I'm happy for Ayaan and Niall whether they got married or not, if they are living the lives they want to live and are at peace with themselves, I have no problem whatsoever. It is not my role to determine the best decision for other people's lives. The fact is, marriage is not for everyone and I would not expect or urge another person to get married just to make me feel better. I think that although caring for the well-being of others is a strength of black women, it is also a major flaw. We waste a lot of useful energy being preoccupied with what others are doing instead of focusing that energy on achieving our personal goals for a happy and successful life.

She has been one of the greatest person fighting for human rights for women and it has been a shame how especially left wing intellectuals didn't defend her at all. Example how badly engaged left is with extreme islamists.
